As for adding to your stats, get your FFXIV Gold agility to about 80 (you want to use a blade) and add the rest to strength.

By the time you reach level 30 or so, you should have amassed a substantial amount of cash, as well as some pretty decent items. You can probably get yourself a decent scale set (+2+8 or better), and a decent shield +option (Plate Shield+1+15 is selling for about 75k as of the writing of this tutorial).

Once you hit level 30, you'll probably find it's getting harder and harder to find parties. You no longer add very much XP, so aren't as desirable to the uber-levels.

So, once you're done with partying, you once again have options. One is to solo in Davias (you can probably take out worms, maybe hommerds too), but after facing elite yetis for 15 levels, taking out worms can seem like quite the come down.
